The cinematographer was killed when a prop gun exploded during rehearsals on set for the upcoming Western film in October 2021 and now the 64-year-old actor – who is married to Hilaria Baldwin and Carmen Gabriela, nine years, Rafael Thomas, seven, Leonardo Ángel Charles, six, Romeo Alejandro David, four, Eduardo Pao Lucas, two, and his daughters Ilaria Catalina Irena, three months with her – but he is said to be “focused about his children and that he “leans” on his wife as they come to terms with the charges.

Hilaria has been Alec’s rock throughout it all, and seeing him so distraught is heartbreaking for her. She does everything she can to support him and they do their best to stay strong for the kids.

The lawsuit was settled last October and it was agreed that filming would resume on “Rust,” with the cinematographer’s widower, Matthew Hutchins, on board as executive producer.

Matthew previously said he had “no interest” in blaming his wife’s tragic death and wanted to pay tribute to Halyna’s “final work”.

In a statement, he said: “We have reached a settlement, subject to court approval, for our wrongful death case against the producers of ‘Rust,’ including Alec Baldwin and Rust Movie Productions, LLC. As part of this settlement, our case will be rejected.

“Filming of Rust, which I will now produce as executive producer, will resume with all original principal cast on board in January 2023.

“I have no interest in indulging in recriminations or assigning blame (to producers or Mr. Baldwin).

“We all believe Halyna’s death was a terrible accident. I am grateful that the producers and entertainment community have come together to pay tribute to Halyna’s latest work.’

Alec also sued four crew members – Hannah, Dave, Sarah Zachry and Seth Kenney – claiming they failed to protect the film set.
